Welcome to Higher Calling Youth Conference

HCY2018, for students in 6th-12th grade, is hosted by SOON Movement (KCCC). We strongly believe in the youth and desire to see them develop a heart for God and His Word. We also believe in the purpose of HCY in students’ lives. This year our theme, “Unashamed,” derives from Romans 1:16. This passage is Paul’s declaration of his faith & assurance in the Gospel for all to hear & see. In that same heart, we pray that HCY2018 will help students grow in their faith so that they might confidently share the Gospel with those around them.

David Park is the Assistant Pastor at OC Young Nak Church in Garden Grove, CA. He received his B.A. from UC San Diego and his M.Div from Talbot School of Theology. David was involved in Soon Movement as a student and currently assists other Para Church organizations such as SOW (Seeds of Worship) by teaching God's word. He is married to his beautiful wife Esther and has two adorable kids Jake (5) and Everly (2). He enjoys watching movies and eating Korean fried chicken during his free time.

Pastor Jeff serves as the lead pastor of HolyWave Ministry – the English-speaking ministry of Sa-Rang Community Church. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in International Relations and later received his Masters in Divinity at Talbot School of Theology. He has been married to his wife Stella for 10 years and together, they have three beautiful children – Emily, Elijah, and Elena. Pastor Jeff’s greatest joy and passion in life is discipling people. He is passionately committed to the idea that the “church is a family” – where sons and daughters can be restored, raised, and released for the kingdom of God.

Rev. Eugene Cho’s many passions involve leadership, justice, the whole Gospel, and the pursuit of God’s Kingdom here on this earth. He travels throughout the world to encourage churches, non-profits, pastors, leaders, missionaries, and justice workers – whether this happens in churches, arenas, conferences, universities, or as a guest in underground churches, villages, homes, mud huts, or refugee camps. Eugene Cho is also the founder and former Senior Pastor of Quest Church – an urban, multi-cultural and multi-generational church in Seattle, Washington – as well as the founder and Executive Director of the Q Café, an innovative non-profit community café and music venue (closed due to relocation in 2015). He is also the founder and visionary of One Day’s Wages (ODW) – a grassroots movement of people, stories, and actions to alleviate extreme global poverty.

Seeds of Worship is a ministry that provides a Christ-centered environment for teachers and students to grow spiritually through our understanding that we were created to worship the One who created us. Students use their gifts of dancing, singing, acting, and performing to share the gospel both on and off the stage.

Undignified Tour has led at college campuses, churches, and retreats all over the world for one purpose: to help lead his generation into God's presence to worship Him. We are imperfect worshippers brought together by our common desire to love God through praise. Our passion is to see campuses and local churches express their hearts to Him freely and unashamed and to give others an opportunity to do the same.
